A 1/4" thick ceramic inner pad sandwiched between heavy foil and bound together with a stainless mesh and sewn edges, gives this heat shield greater flexibility for rugged applications. Withstands 1000º F continuous radiant heat and reflects the heat away from floor boards, electrical boxes, and air conditioning components. It is not designed for direct contact with exhaust systems.
