Manufactured right here in the U.S. of A., these billet aluminum beauties are CNC machined from aircraft quality 6061-T6 solid billet aluminum. The bearing main caps are then CNC machined from 6061-T6 solid billet aluminum and matched to the housings. Not only does the aluminum add considerably to the overall strength of the 3rd member but at 20-30 percent less weight than a nodular iron drop-out. Engineered to vastly increase rigidity of the pinion bearings, these units reduce flex resulting in better gear contact and strength under extreme loads. Further stiffening is accomplished via a load bolt supporting the ring gear and maximum internal webbing. Nitro extreme engineering has produced features like a load bolt for increased resistance to pinion deflection. • Use with large Journal full spool FSF9-40-2-25, Nitro 10 Inch Grears, and MKF9BILLET-3-8 install kit.
• These units use an oversize 3.812 carrier bearing bore allowing larger/thicker bearing journals when installing a 40 spline spool. The pinion support uses 10 high strength studs and accepts larger 35 spline pro gear type pinions.
• Main bearing caps feature US made high strength studs with inserts in the aluminum main housing to locate and properly secure them. Supplied adjuster nuts are heat treated billet as well. Designed specifically to enhance the longevity of race gears these 3 generation billet assemblies are engineered for maximum performance in extreme applications and look good at the same time.
