| Description_MKT | Every engine swap has a few minor clearance issues that must be resolved for a slick and straightforward engine installation. The 1997-2004 Dodge Dakota has the battery in the same location as the Gen III Hemi air inlet and air filter (some factory intakes with drivers side front air inlet). The new battery tray moves the battery from the left to the right side of the vehicle. This change provides clearance for the air inlet and air filter, but the power distribution box can no longer be attached to the side of the old battery tray. The power distribution box (fuse box) is mounted using a new bracket (BHS577 sold separately), and it stays in the factory location to avoid wiring modifications. This part is fabricated from steel and features a black powder-coated finish (for a factory look and corrosion protection). |
