Description
The BandM Console QuickSilver Shifter for 1968-1969 Camaro is a top of the line ratchet action shifter that provides performance without a trigger. To get into park or reverse from drive, just lift the knob/stick assembly and move it forward into position. It's cable operated for easy installation and precise shifting. A 5 foot precision BandM shift cable and all the mounting hardware for TH-350/400/700R4/4L60/4L60E/4L65E/4L80E/4L85E is included or you can use your existing stock cable set-up for ease of installation. The shifter easily adapts from 3 to 4-speed transmissions making it perfect for stock and upgraded vehicles. Back-up light and neutral safety switches are fully incorporated into the shifter and has a lighted gear position indicator window. The chrome bezel, stick, and knob are accented by the black "slit" style boot and deep blue knob insert giving your first generation Camaro that classic muscle car look, all while providing the fast shifting, smooth ratchet action that BandM has always been famous for.

| Description_MKT | Easy to use, clean good looks and dependable ratcheting design makes the QuickSilver one of our most popular shifters. This console model is designed for a perfect fit in the factory console of your 1968-69 Camaro, and like all QuickSilver shifters, features a trigger-less shift handle design. When in Park you simply lift the handle and pull back and let the handle drop once in or past Reverse. Once out of Park, theres no need to lift the handle to shift gears until you either need to access Reverse or Park. From Drive, just lift the handle straight up and this will bypass the reverse lockout safety feature, then move the shift handle forward into Reverse or Park. Its just that easy! Also, the reverse lockout feature meets NHRA and IHRA safety regulations and wont allow you to accidentally over shift into reverse while making a pass at the strip. To use the ratcheting function at the strip, shift into low gear, launch the vehicle and hit the shifter forward when its time to shift. You cannot over-shift and miss a gear. The chrome bezel, shift stick, and knob are all accented by the black "slit" style boot and deep blue medallion, giving your first-gen Camaro that classic muscle car style while providing fast and smooth ratchet shifting. The shifter includes a lighted gear position indicator in the bezel, a micro-switch for back-up lights and a neutral safety switch preventing accidental starts when in gear. Uses the factory shift cable and comes with all hardware, detailed instructions and everything needed for an easy installation you can do at home. Compatible with TH350, TH400, 700R4, 200R4, 4L60 transmissions right out of the box. Notes: 4L60E - 4L80E transmissions with PRNDL switch will require installation kit #75498 (without PRNDL switch use #35498) and 5-ft shift cable #80605. |
